Technology and I get along very, very well, but when I need to do some serious thinking, these are my weapons of choice:
Large plain-page Moleskines with Pilot G2 .07 pens. You can see that I’m about to start a new one.

No fountain pens? For shame! 😉 Can’t say I like the gel pens. If I’m not using my fountain pens, I prefer a nice Uniball Jetsream RT 1.0 rollerball. I’ve learned not to be *too* picky about paper (though Rhodia is awful nice), and I’m mostly using the Hipster PDA of 3×5 cards for jotting things down as prelude to getting tasks into OmniFocus…
