An Ars Technica article referencing a survey showcasing that customers would like to be reached on social networking sites: but they don't want to be particularly marketed to – they want to be pleased with customer service.
If you serve them and give them a nice experience, that is all the marketing you need.

Logos and color palettes from every Olympic games of the modern era. The London 2012 logo is one of the ugliest attempts in the whole lot. It's interesting to see the development of the "branding" of the Games.

This type of forward-thinking by Harmonix is one of the reasons I'm now a complete Rock Band devotee. The fact that I can move forward the time and money I've invested in songs from the first game makes the second one an automatic purchase for me.
