A work in progress.

Well, I had completely planned on finishing my redesign, and then I (and my wife) ended up getting sick last night, and it’s safe to say that I’ll now be catching up on schoolwork for a little bit instead of working on the redesign.

The new header graphic that I’ve replaced the original Kubrick one with is just the first step. I’m actually hoping to redesign most of it so it doesn’t look so WordPress default-y, because I’m not one to look like other people as much as possible. Those of you on Windows workstations will notice that the colors don’t quite match between the header graphic and the rest of the page; that’s because I’m a bonehead and forgot to check graphic type cross-compatibility.

With the new design, I’m just hoping your computer/browser will support PNG alpha-transparency (because it should, and because I’m going to use it).

And check the links on the right side when you get a chance. You might find some links to things like my del.icio.us bookmarks, or to my flickr photo storage (which I need to upgrade, and also add more pictures, since those were a while ago).

You can also expect a rather lengthy personal update in a bit; I had started it the other day, and then not finished it and abandoned it for a little while. Suffice to say there are a lot of things going on in Markel-land, and I know that some of you don’t know about them yet and should.

But now, I have to go back to trying to help with the children while both parents are sick. That’s not fun, for those of you who are interested. I forsee much Dora the Explorer in my upcoming day.
