Well, I’m staying up late, dealing with my crappy at-home modem connection, simply because I’m tracking the iTunes Music Store numbers, and attempting to get a shot at being the person who downloads song number 100,000,000.
I know that my chances aren’t all that hot (well, they’re not much less than anyone else, that’s for sure), but I figured I’d keep trying, anyway. I’ll probably end up spending about $10 on song downloads, grab a few things I haven’t heard in a while, and then go to bed, slightly disappointed, but overall, very content.
My time is currently divided between typing out this entry, reloading the iTunes main page to check the download total every five minutes (which is how often it’s updated), and running searches on the Music Store. I didn’t realize until tonight how slowly these songs download when you’re just on a phone line connection. Wish this was going to go down Monday morning while I was at work, but no, the downloads have to kick up late at night on a Sunday - just so I have to be that little bit extra obsessive.
But at least I know I’m ridiculous.
