Amanda’s hospital room.

Words cannot express to you what this hospital room is like.

First of all, there are only private rooms here at Aurora Bay Care. There’s no such thing as a roommate, which is comforting to her. We’ve been very comfortable, and haven’t really had all that many complaints. Amanda is, of course, uncomfortable, but seeing as she is in labor, and a hospital bed is still a hospital bed, I’m going to assume that not much could change that.

Second, this place is kinda like the Bat Cave.

I’m not kidding.

All of the medical tools and the like are concealed behind pictures in the wall and in the furniture that’s already in the room. I swear that I’m expecting half the furniture in here to transform like some kind of Optimus Prime-type madness and turn into some serious-looking medical machinery (or at least the machine that goes BING).

There are more full surgical-style lights in the ceiling and stuff, and it’s pretty neat overall. I took a few pictures, and as soon as we get them developed, I will make sure I upload them and include them inline with this story. I think it’s something I need to share. Look for this post to update later with an extended entry of sorts.
