It’s…. so….. BEAUtiful!

I’m a little in awe that this has happened, seeing as how it affects one of the greatest basic wargames I’ve ever played, one of the greatest board games ever devised, and something that had been pulled from mass production for while - a game I had never expected to see again in print.

I was holding my two copies in storage, afraid to touch them for fear that they might get used or something.

Avalon Hill has re-designed (a lot) Axis and Allies.

A lot of the rule changes that I’ve been able to discern are largely for the better, including a new unit - the destroyer.

I’ll probably try and pick up a copy of the game when I get paid for some of the guest preaching I’ve been doing around here (that is, assuming that there’s a copy at Gnome here in GB), and have to see what they’ve been tinkering with.

I’ve not played the game in two years, because I’ve never been able to find anyone who was interested in playing. But at least the game has some new legs to stand on - I’ve been playing it since junior high, and don’t really want it to ride off into the sunset.
