As I live and breathe, I am typing this entry on my brand spankin’ new PowerBook 17.
It’s so beautiful…
*cry*
*sniff*
And I’m quickly liking Mac OS X - just like I figured I would - especially since I downloaded 10.3.3, which made my book start up in about 20% of the time is took yesterday. And Expos?© is like a third arm - now that I have it, I can’t imagine how I ever got along without it. Mail does everything I want it to, conforms to standards, and has threaded view, Safari is fast and renders pages well (including my own), and iLife is just entirely too much fun to play around with.
Only thing I need now is a Bluetooth mouse; too bad no one in Green Bay sells the things - I can’t find one anywhere. I was hoping to get one with a scroll wheel, but the only Bluetooth mouse I’ve found so far is one at my local Apple Reseller, and it’s the standard Apple mouse - one button with no scroll wheel. I’m trying to figure out if having the mouse is enough to justify not having a scroll wheel. I can handle the one button (although, when I start playing games, we’ll see), but I don’t think I can handle the lack of scroll wheelage.
Oh, and sheets and drawers for dialogues and options are awesome.
That’s all for now, but have a happy April Fool’s Day!
(Ken, I’m coming for you soon - I’m going to post up the greatest April Fool’s joke of our college careers later today - and you know what I’m talking about.
