Thursdays are always taxing around the office, not the least of reasons being that we have services on those nights. Therefore, the office is kind of stifling on those days, because you have to deal with the fact that, when you leave at four, you have to be back in an hour and half.
That’s not always a very comforting thought, even if it is for church, which I absolutely adore doing for these people.
I should remove the DAoC stuff from the left pane, if only because I rarely play the game anymore (haven’t very much at all in the past few months), but that’s mostly because I’m intrigued by Star Wars Galaxies’ character advancement system. I think it’s a very interesting idea, and it definitely has a whole lot of advantages, along with its own, very unique set of problems.
I like SWG a whole lot - the only facet I wish was as developed as DAoC was the PvP combat. Camelot has about the most developed and well-thought-out PvP combat system in any MMORPG to date, and it’s something I think SWG could have if ti really wanted to stretch it out. There’s the framework of the Galactic Civil War in place, but htey haven’t really done anything special with it, which IMHO is a shame. They need to provide more incentive to play in the sandbox that is PvP battlefields. In DAoC, PvP combat has a definite advantage, and is something to be desired, but in SWG, it’s more of an afterthought than anything else. I’d do it more often, but it’s probably really difficult to get a group together to hit up a battlefield, and I’d be willing to wager that it’s just more likely that you wouldn’t find anyone of the opposite side there when you got there.
They should work on that.
But, for now, this is another day where I didn’t get any playing time in - mostly because Test Center was down all afternoon, and I wanted to start playing there to be part of the communtiy - and where I have a busy evening ahead of me.
