So Ken and I are headed to the Pageant tonight to hit up a Weird Al concert, which is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I’ve seen a videotaped concert of his once or twice, and it looked like a completely fun time; I can only imagine that a live experience with his ridiculously creative and well-composed music would be more than a little fun.
It’s interesting also because I don’t often partake of the live experience of music; concerts are expensive, overly noisy, too crowded, and hard to find parking for. I’ve only been to a handful of concerts before, and two of those were in extremely small venues that were more niche things than anything else. I’m hoping that it won’t run entirely too late, because we were only able to snag tickets for the later show tonight, and those are on the second tier (though third row back, which is excellent).
On a side note, I am adding another XML syndication feed, for which directions were graciously provided by Leo Laporte, who took a few minutes to key me in when I finally became frustrated with not being able to figure out the stupid thing and needed to ask the only person I’ve seen who’s done it. The new feed will provide full articles, rather than the excerpts the normal feeds provide. It will be RSS v2.0 only, and will be added down under the two existing syndication feeds I already provide.
It’s highly suspect that more than a few scattered people are even using them, but I like to provide people with both variety and options, and so there you have it.
