183 virus-laden e-mails this morning.
Friday, 22 August, 2003 – 13:57
and I’m checking e-mail, and I have 60 new messages (!) in one day.
All virus-laden e-mail.
Someone out there with me in their address book has contracted a virus. Please check your systems and figure out who you are.
Or I will have to kill you.
That is all.

We’re pulling out of here in thirty minutes.
See you in Green Bay.

sarah, take me by my arm
tomorrow we are canaan bound
where westward sails the golden sun
and hebron’s hills are amber crowned
so bid your troubled heart be still
the grass, they say, is soft and green
the trees are tall and honey-filled
so sarah, come and walk with me

A lot of people, when I tell them that I’ve found something neat or something useful that I think they can use to make their overall computer life bearable and a little more convenient, tell me to stop talking and simply e-mail them what I’m talking about. Well, those requests have piled up to [...]

Now Joshua’s rolling over in his sleep.
Amanda got up at 2 for one reason or another, and found that he had rolled in his sleep; we had figured that he wasn’t going to do so because he’s normally a very sound sleeper.
Guess that theory didn’t quite pan out…

Well, Joshua finally discovered the fullness of joy that comes with being able to roll over yesterday, as he finally learned to repeat the act in succession. He rolled over for the first time at 2 months, but it was a bit of a fluke, and now he’s discovered that he really knows how [...]

Just woke up from the concert aftermath; I had planned on writing this last night, but my ears were still suffering from a little bit of sound shock, so I decided to go to bed instead.
But anyway, the concert was awesome. Really good show. I would recommend that anyone who is even remotely [...]

So Ken and I are headed to the Pageant tonight to hit up a Weird Al concert, which is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I’ve seen a videotaped concert of his once or twice, and it looked like a completely fun time; I can only imagine that a live experience [...]

I have Hazel to thank for cluing me in on the wonderfulness that is the Friday Five, which you can also syndicate here - it’s basically just a list of five questions, posted on a Friday (natch), for you to answer to try and keep you blogging at least once a week.
Off topic: you think [...]

Well, you know something was up when you check your provider’s uptime clocks and you see your cluster is at something on the order of seventeen minutes. They did kernel updates today, apparently, so it involved some shutdown time.
Since the majority of their customers are UK-based, that means that it tends to happen right [...]

Looks like hornet.unitedhosting.com isn’t up and running with a full battery right now - things are either not showing up at all or showing up really goofy.
I asked them to install an ImageMagick-related perl mod - hope that’s not what’s causing the server instability.
The name server’s acting all weird, too - subdomains aren’t behaving correctly [...]
